Energihotellet
Would you like to enjoy a panoramic view of Suldalsvatnet lake and the surrounding mountainous horizon?
At Energihotellet, the architecture creates the perfect frame for a spectacular meeting with nature.
Energihotellet is a family runned minimalistic design hotel situated in Nesflaten in the southern part of Fjord Norway, along the inner route between Stavanger and Bergen, right in between Trolltunga and the Pulpit Rock.
The hotel was designed in the sixties by the renowned architect Geir Grung, and was built in connection to Norsk Hydro’s power station, Røldal-Suldal kraft. The architectural work consists of housing estate, power station and the building which today is Energihotellet. The rough concrete brutalism breaks with what you would expect to find in a small village in Western Norway.
Local food, industrial history, architecture and culture are key points to us with the lake and the surrounding mountains as backdrop.
Here you will experience norwegian design and architecture, grand landscapes, unique activities and personal service. A warm welcome to Suldal and Energihotellet!
